5th UNESCO Forum on transformative education for sustainable development, global citizenship, health and well-being
Transformative education involves the teaching and learning geared to motivate and empower learners to take informed decisions and actions at the individual, community and global levels.
From 29 November to 1 December 2021, UNESCO and APCEIU will bring together experts in education for sustainable development, global citizenship education and education for health and well-being to discuss good practices, progress, monitoring and mainstreaming transformative education towards Sustainable Development Goal target 4.7.

The 5th UNESCO Forum on Transformative Education for Sustainable Development, Global Citizenship, Health and Well-being is co-organized by UNESCO and APCEIU, and hosted by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea.

2,500 policy makers, education practitioners and experts will be invited to share their experience and knowledge, but all plenary session will be livestreamed and made accessible to the public.

Who will particpate in the Forum?
The participants will be education stakeholders from all regions of the world working in the areas of education for sustainable development (ESD), global citizenship education (GCED), education for health and well-being, education monitoring, as well as other relevant areas, including experts from Ministries of Education and other relevant ministries (e.g., culture and environment), experts, teachers, educators, students, representatives of NGOs, the development community, private sector, youth and media.

How can I participate at the Forum?
The forum is an invitation only event. A list of invitees will be prepared by UNESCO and APCEIU through mobilizing Member States and other stakeholders to recommend participants. Others who are interested in participating can submit an expression of interest by approaching the Forum Secretariat via transformative-ed-forum2021@unesco.org(link sends e-mail)

Will the sessions of the Forum be livestreamed?
The plenary sessions will be livestreamed and the recordings of the concurrent, special and poster sessions will be made available after the Forum.
