NATCOM/STUDENT SESSION AT THE 16th BIANNUAL COLLOQUIUM OF THE WEST AFRICAN ARCHAEOLOGICAL ASSOCIATION (W.A.A.A/A.O.A.A) 2019

On the 12^th of July 2019, the Ghana National Commission for UNESCO (NATCOM) organized a side event with the students of archaeology and heritage from the West African Sub-region at the 16th Biannual Colloquium of the West African Archaeological Association which was held at the University of Ghana, from 9-13 July. The side event inter alia discussed the vision, mission and functions of NATCOM as well as the World Heritage Convention and its Operational Guidelines. This was intended to make participants of the Colloquium understand the mandate of NATCOM and encourage research in the area of the UNESCO Cultural Conventions particularly the World Heritage Convention.
