Published by unesco-admin on October 28, 2020

“When power leads man toward arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man’s concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.”— John F. Kennedy

In this light, we cannot deny the fact that Poetry is an asset that must be treasured.

Dear beloved, we therefore invite you to join in the celebration of poetry by joining the 7th edition of Ghana Poetry Festival scheduled to take place from 12-14 November, 2020.

This festival is a well packaged one with interesting sessions including performances, readings, conversations, master classes among others.

Participating poets are from Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa, Greece, Uganda, Kenya, United States, France, Canada among others.

The good thing about this edition is that it doesn’t matter where you’re; just get your data and you’re part—it’s virtually a VIRTUAL Festival: Zoom + Facebook + Instagram + Twitter + YouTube…

Brought to you by Values for Life-Gh and supported by Ghana Reads Initiative, e-Ananse Libraries, Ghana Commission for UNESCO, Socialist Forum of Ghana, Bureau of Ghana Languages & others.

Chairperson:
Prof. Akilagpa Sawyer
[Former President, Ghana Academy of Arts & Sciences]
