The Ministry of Education (MoE) of Ghana is organizing a National Education Week (NEW) from 28th September to 1st October 2021 at the Labadi Beach Hotel and La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, Accra under the theme: Reimagining Education for National Transformation.
This theme is necessitated by the Ministry’s conviction that Education in the 21st Century has moved leanings from the patterns of the 20th century that hinged on conventional methods of teaching and learning to a new dimension of creativity, innovation, and the use of technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
If you are interested in knowing the Education Sector Performance over the past year, unprecedented challenges to the sector due to the COVID-19 and the existing gaps concerning the back-to-school intervention, join the NEW via Zoom (Meeting ID 86217917326, Password 931671)
Other interesting topics to be discussed during the NEW are emerging practices and innovations to education service delivery, improving performance by using STEM education, proper use of data, and digital learning, planning for emergencies, among others.
Day 3 features Technical Group Discussions on Sustainable and Resilient Systems, Digital Learning, STEM & Early Childhood Education, and Education Policy Planning and Management.
The final day will be the plenary and the Ghana Commission for UNESCO is looking forward to the upcoming Technical Group Presentations on STEM, Digital Learning, Use of Data for Policy Planning at the Regional, Municipal and District Level, and the Sustainable and Resilient System since these are key issues already being discussed at global conferences.
