As part of our effort to cooperate with governments and partners in developing the competencies needed to live and work with Artificial Intelligence (AI), UNESCO is pleased to invite you or your organization to take part in the mapping of Artificial Intelligence (AI) curricula for school education developed by NGOs or private companies that have been approved by governmental agencies. The survey is available at the following link: https://survey.alchemer.
The purpose of this survey is to gather some high-level information on AI curricula that have been developed by NGOs or private companies for kindergartens, primary and secondary schools or equivalent grade level(s). The information will be used to identify non-governmental organizations that have developed and implemented AI curricula, the partnerships built with governmental agencies in implementing the curricula, the grades covered by these curricula, the positioning of these curricula as independent or within other subjects, and what is covered by these curricula. Your responses will contribute to the development of a UNESCO Guiding Framework on AI Competencies for school students.
Your participation in this survey is taken as consent for the survey, and also for the information gathered to be used in the mapping study and any subsequent publications of UNESCO.
The AI curricula targeted by this survey could be a discrete curriculum on AI (for examples: a core subject called AI, an elective course called AI, or a core/elective course on specific domains of AI), chapters or units on AI as within a curriculum on ICT/IT/digital skills, or a dedicated extra-curricular subject on AI or specific domains of AI.
If your organization has not developed any AI curricula that are in line with the target of this survey, please don’t respond to this survey. Multiple responses to this survey are possible. If multiple AI curricula are developed or implemented by your organization, or there are differences in the development, endorsement, evaluation or etc. of different grade levels you would like to draw out clearly, please respond separately for each case.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the Unit for Technology and AI in Education within the Future of Learning and Innovation Team, Education Sector (ED/FLI/ICT) (AIED@unesco.org).
Deadline
The survey will be open until 16 July 2021
