The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) organized a 5-day training programme for newly appointed District Girls Education Officers (DGEO) from eight regions of Ghana.
The workshop was to build the capacity of DGEOs to enable them perform their roles as expected in their Districts.
The outlined program for organising the five days training was to:
- deepen the knowledge of participants on their work as GEO
- learn to develop project proposal to secure funding for activities
- writing of credible reports on programmes or activities implemented
