The International Fund for Cultural Diversity (IFCD) has opened a call for funding. The main objective of IFCD is to invest in projects that lead to structural change through the introduction and/or elaboration of policies and strategies that have a direct effect on the creation, production, distribution of and access to a diversity of cultural expressions including cultural goods, services and activities, as well as through the reinforcement of institutional infrastructures deemed necessary to support viable cultural industries at the local and regional levels.
The call is open to non-governmental organisations; micro, small and medium enterprises; international non-governmental organisations which meet the definition of civil society.
The funding is up to US$100,000 per project (Approximately – R1,6 mil).

All funding requests must be submitted online through the IFCD website and therefore will not be accepted in paper format or by email. The deadline for applicants to submit their funding requests is Wednesday, 27 May 2020 (midnight, Paris time).
Pre-selection process
Please make sure that you present the pre-selected applications well in advance of the deadline in order to avoid any potential technical problems with the upload of documents to the online platform.
Eligible requests will be evaluated by an independent panel of experts before being submitted to the fourteenth session of the Intergovernmental Committee in February
2021.
