The Ghana Commission for UNESCO is delighted to announce the inaugural call for applications for the UNESCO-Equatorial Guinea Fellowship Programme for Young Women Scientists in Africa.
This initiative is dedicated to empowering young African women in the life sciences, fostering their active participation in scientific and technological development across the continent.
Established in 2024 and funded by the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, the programme aims to bridge gender disparities in scientific research by providing targeted support to young women scientists. Each year, two exceptional candidates will receive grants of $25,000 each, with a total of $50,000, to advance their research and contribute to sustainable development in their home countries.
