We are pleased to announce that nominations for the 2026 L’Oréal-UNESCO International Awards are open. The awards, which celebrate outstanding women scientists in Life and Environmental Sciences, will recognize Five Laureates, one from each world region, for their groundbreaking research.

Nomination

Nominators will have to sign into the platform and upload all the necessary documents in order to submit the candidate’s application. Nominators of previous editions will be asked to reset their password when they first log in, for data security reasons and in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation. New nominators will need to create a user ID and password.

Eligibility

Nominees must:

• Be women scientists with internationally recognized excellence.
• Work in Life or Environmental Sciences.
• Have worked in one of the five world regions for at least 10 years.

NOTE: Nominations must be submitted by a qualified scientist (e.g., full professor, head of institution, member of a national academy, past Laureate, or PhD holder).
