The Ghana Commission for UNESCO on Tuesday, 3rd of November 2026 has officially entered a strategic Memorandum of Understanding with PK Amoabeng Foundation and Reformation Community, two nonprofit organizations working to develop ethical, resilient, and transformative leaders across Ghana.

This signing ceremony was held at the Commission and brought together the Secretary-General, Deputy Secretary-General (Programmes), Principal Programme Officer (Education) for the Commission and officials from both organizations. This makes both organizations official partners of the Commission and paves the way for further collaborations between them.

Speaking at the event, the Secretary-General, Prof Damba described the agreement as a milestone worth celebrating. He praised the work of both organizations and encouraged them to extend efforts to the northern part of the country. He pledged the Commission’s continued support whenever either organisation needs it.

Captain (Rtd) Prince Amoabeng, founder of the PK Amoabeng Foundation, spoke about his passion and intentionality for changing the mindset of the youth in the country. That same concern for the next generation was carried forward by Papa Arkhurst, who spoke on behalf of Reformation Community. He delved into the anticipated impact of the ARB network and the need for ethical leadership training for students.

The partnership looks beyond short-term interventions. It sets out long-term frameworks designed to instil a strong sense of civic duty in participants, with a particular focus on senior high schools (SHS), and tertiary institutions.

Through the partnership, Reformation Community will create a multi-year fellowship centered on resilience, mentorship, and practical community impact. The PK Amoabeng Foundation will extend its foundational, ethics and health-conscious training into SHS and tertiary institutions across several regions. Together, they aim to equip trained leaders to return to their communities and multiply the impact by mentoring others.

Closing out the ceremony, Prof Damba praised the collaborative efforts as a critical milestone for expanding Ghana’s global footprints and reinforcing institutional networks for future generations.
