The Sankofa project aims at providing support to higher education and research on Heritage and Tourism in Ghana and encourages the dissemination of research results to a wide audience.
These short animation films were written and created by Ghanaian archaeology and heritage researchers and were produced by Ghanaian animation studios in collaboration, for one of them, with Past and Curious, a French archaeology series which is promoting archaeology research through animation films.
On Wednesday 5th May, 3 films will be shown and presented by the production team :
- Salvage archaeology : 60 sec., Edward Nyarko, IndigenX studio
- Fort Amsterdam : 5 min, Kojo Derban, AnimaxFYB Studio
- Begho a market town in 16th century, West Africa: 7min, Daniel Kumah and Victoria Aryee, AnimaxFYB Studio and Past and Curious
